Arriving in the UK as a refugee from Sierra Leone, she transformed her lived experience into a powerful force for change. Current Work

Currently, Mabinty serves as the Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Comic Relief, where she leads on integrating DEIB into the organisation’s core values, ensuring an inclusive workplace where all individuals can thrive.

Previous Work

Prior to this, she was an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, playing a pivotal role in advancing equity within healthcare and workforce development.

Mabinty is a widely respected speaker and facilitator, known for her ability to engage diverse audiences with authenticity and practical insights. She has spoken at major leadership events, including the Future Leaders Programme, where she shared expertise on leadership, overcoming adversity, and fostering inclusive workplaces. In November 2024, she was a featured speaker at the Future of Work Series, contributing to a panel on investing in belonging through workplace culture and values.

In partnership with Skillsboosters, Mabinty appeared in a series of their learning videos, bringing her voice and lived experience to life on screen. She contributed to key modules on intersectionality and allyship, helping shape content that challenges thinking, deepens understanding, and inspires action toward more inclusive workplaces.

A passionate anti-racism advocate, Mabinty co-founded the BAME staff network during her tenure at the Church of England, ensuring the voices of underrepresented communities were elevated and heard at the highest levels.

Outside of her professional work, Mabinty is a creative at heart, passionate about writing and stationery design. She balances her influential career with her most cherished role—being a devoted parent to two young children.
